This bill amends the definition of "political advocacy organization" in New Hampshire law. It lowers the spending threshold for an entity to be considered a political advocacy organization from $5,000 to $2,500 in a calendar year, and expands the definition to include entities that make expenditures for communications that refer to clearly identified candidates or measures, regardless of whether the communications expressly advocate for or against the candidates or measures. The bill also excludes expenses for candidate forums from the definition of expenditures.
