This bill reorganizes and renames the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) as the Department of Health, and establishes a Division of Aging Services within the Department of Human Services (DHS). The bill makes numerous amendments to existing laws, primarily by removing references to the Department of Health and Senior Services and replacing them with references to the Department of Health or the Department of Human Services, and in some cases, the Department of Banking and Insurance. These changes reflect the administrative restructuring of these departments and the transfer of certain functions and responsibilities. For example, the Division on Aging, previously within the Department of Health and Senior Services, is now established within the Department of Human Services. The bill also makes various technical and conforming changes throughout the statutes to reflect these departmental reorganizations.
