This bill amends Section 9-11-270 of the Code of Alabama 1975, which deals with hunting and fishing regulations, to explicitly prohibit the use of drones to harass individuals who are legally hunting or fishing. The existing law already prevents people from willfully interfering with legal hunting and fishing activities, and this amendment clarifies that using a drone, defined as an aerial vehicle without a human operator, to intentionally and knowingly bother someone engaged in these activities is a violation. The bill will take effect on the first day of the third month after it is passed and approved by the Governor, or otherwise becomes law.
