This bill makes certain acts of trespassing and vandalism at critical infrastructure facilities unlawful and provides penalties for these actions. It defines a "critical infrastructure facility" as various types of energy, water, transportation, and communications facilities that are enclosed by a fence or physical barrier or clearly marked with signs indicating that entry is forbidden without authorization. The bill establishes misdemeanor and felony penalties, including fines and imprisonment, for trespassing and damaging or tampering with equipment at these facilities. It also provides that if an organization is found to be a conspirator in these crimes, the organization can be fined ten times the amount of the individual fine.
