This bill amends existing law to require a special audit and assessment of the implementation of the transfer, coordination, and modernization of all information technology and telecommunication systems of state agencies in Oklahoma. The bill creates the position of Chief Information Officer, who will be responsible for formulating and implementing the information technology strategy for all state agencies, defining and implementing a shared services statewide infrastructure and application environment, and overseeing the procurement of all information technology and telecommunication products and services for state agencies. The bill also expands the definition of "state agency" for the purposes of the Oklahoma Information Services Act to include several entities that were previously exempt.
