This bill provides that a park model recreational vehicle shall be treated the same as a manufactured home for purposes of the motor vehicle excise tax, the property tax code, and the motor vehicle code. Specifically, the bill: - Amends various definitions in the Motor Vehicle Excise Tax Act, the Property Tax Code, and the Motor Vehicle Code to include park model recreational vehicles alongside manufactured homes. - Requires park model recreational vehicles to be reported and valued for property tax purposes in the same way as manufactured homes. - Provides for the registration, titling, and taxation of park model recreational vehicles similarly to manufactured homes under the Motor Vehicle Code. - Authorizes the Department of Transportation and the Department of Public Safety to regulate the movement and permitting of park model recreational vehicles in the same way as manufactured homes. The bill applies to property tax years beginning January 1, 2018 and takes effect on July 1, 2017.
