It directs the CIO and ITSC to consider best practices from other states, collaborate with executive branch departments to integrate open data strategies into their existing technology plans, and consult with the Office of Information Practices and other relevant departments. Finally, the CIO and ITSC are asked to submit these proposed open data goals, objectives, and any legislative recommendations to the Legislature by a specific date in 2020.
