This bill requires the motor vehicle registration application form to include language allowing an applicant who is deaf or hard of hearing to voluntarily indicate that information. If the applicant indicates they are deaf or hard of hearing, that information will be included in the Driver and Vehicle Information Database and available through the Florida Crime Information Center system. The bill also amends the existing law to change the name of the organization that receives the voluntary $1 contribution from "Prevent Blindness Florida" to "Preserve Vision Florida." The bill takes effect on October 1, 2018.
